A child died Saturday night from injuries she received in a wreck Friday in Creek County, and a Choctaw man died Sunday after a wreck in Midwest City, authorities said.
James Bittle, 66, Choctaw
About 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Bittle was driving west on SE 15 between Westminster and S Anderson Road when his sport utility vehicle ran off the left side of the road and hit a concrete culvert. The vehicle flipped several times, Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said.
Bittle was taken to a hospital in Oklahoma City where he died, Clabes said. He did not know if Bittle was wearing a seat belt.
Temperance Aimsworth, 4, Sapulpa
About 5:15 p.m. Friday, Temperance was a passenger in an eastbound car on State Highway 33. When the car slowed to turn left onto 193rd W Avenue, it was struck from behind by an eastbound pickup, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Temperance was taken to a Tulsa hospital and admitted. She died about 10 p.m. Saturday.
She was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
