Childhood friends older in dream

Q: In my dream, I am in a large, white, run-down house. I am with a few of my female friends from grade school, but we are all adults now. A man is trying to destroy the house by either blowing it up or setting it on fire. I end up in the house alone, and I put on my favorite childhood play-dress. It is too small when I remove it from the clothing trunk, but fits perfectly when I put it on. I run to the front door and open it to find my friends waiting for me. As I open the door, I wheel around and run upstairs because I forgot my stuffed animals. I grab the stuffed animals and run back downstairs.

A: Everyone and everything in a dream represents a part of the dreamer. For instance, a house represents the mind. Seeing the grade school friends who now are adults symbolizes a recognition that parts of herself have matured. Explosions represent uncontrolled change, and fire represents expansion.
