China painters will auction Christmas trees, art

The World Organization of China Painters will hold a series of Christmas activities Friday through Dec. 8, including an opportunity for kids to get their picture with Santa.

The World Organization of China Painters will hold a series of Christmas activities beginning Friday.

All events will be at the organization's gallery, 2641 NW 10.

A silent auction will be at 6 p.m. Friday for undecorated Christmas trees, a gingerbread house and tree ornaments.

A Yuletide Tree Celebration will open Saturday and runs through Dec. 8. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for seniors. There is no charge for students and children.

Children will be able to get their picture taken with Santa from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 1.

The money raised will be for funding porcelain art education and public programming, as well as general museum operations, building and renovation funds.
