Tulsa-based Celebrity Attractions brings Chip Davis' “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas” to Oklahoma City for two performances this week. Curtain times are 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday at the Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N Walker.

One of the longest-running holiday touring shows, “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas” features Christmas selections that combine the group's signature mix of Renaissance instruments with rock 'n' roll rhythms.

“Mannheim Steamroller Christmas” is an outgrowth of Davis' 1984 Christmas album, a multiplatinum recording that has sold more than 28 million copies. The “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas” show, which has toured for more than a quarter century, features state-of-the-art multimedia effects in an intimate setting.

The popular program will feature an eclectic mix of holiday selections, many of which have appeared on the albums “A Fresh Aire Christmas,' “Christmas in the Aire,” “The Christmas Angel,” “Christmasville,” “Christmas Extraordinaire” and “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas.”

USA Today reported that “Mannheim is on its merry way and music is the star on the Christmas tour.”
