'Chocolate and Couture' to aid foster children programs

Come and enjoy decedent desserts and this season’s latest fashions for your little dude or diva.

Hosted by Citizens Caring for Children, Chocolate and Couture: An Event to Benefit Foster Children is 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 at the Quail Creek Golf and Country Club in Oklahoma City. The event will include a children’s fashion show, desserts, and drinks.

Runway seats are $75 and General Seating is $60. Tickets must be purchased prior to the event.

Citizens Caring for Children provides services for more than 3,500 Oklahoma Foster Children annually. Through programs including Shelter Birthday Parties, Back to School, the Resource Center, Santa Stop and Mentoring, Citizens Caring for Children breaks the cycle of abuse and neglect in Oklahoma foster children. Proceeds from Chocolate and Couture 2010 will benefit the growing number of children in foster care.

Fashion provided by local boutiques including Ladybugs and Lizards, Tiger Lily, Pink Sugar with make up provided by the Make Up Bar.
