DETROIT (AP) — A federal judge has been asked to dismiss a lawsuit involving a T-shirt maker's use of the "Imported from Detroit" slogan made popular by Chrysler's 2011 Super Bowl ad featuring rap superstar Eminem.

The Detroit News reports (http://bit.ly/Iq08jH ) Wednesday that the automaker and Pure Detroit reached a settlement in the suit. Terms haven't been released.

Chrysler Group LLC filed the suit last year against owners of Pure Detroit. The suit says Pure Detroit sold "huge numbers of T-shirts" bearing the slogan, which was part of the Chrysler 200 marketing campaign.

Pure Detroit wrote last year on its website that Chrysler's claims "are unsubstantiated and involve sometimes complicated trademark laws."

A settlement conference was held last month.
