Cimarron Opera to stage 'Ruddigore' in Norman

Cimarron Opera will present ‘Ruddigore' in performances July 12, 13 and 14.

— Tickets are on sale for Cimarron Opera's production of Gilbert and Sullivan's “Ruddigore.”

Performances will be at 8 p.m. July 12 and 13, with 2 p.m. matinees July 13 and 14 at the Nancy O'Brian Center for the Performing Arts, 1809 Stubbeman Ave.

“Ruddigore” is a melodrama about a witch's curse, a hidden identity and a gallery of ghosts who come to life to exact their vengeance on the unhappy mortal in their power. The performance will feature singers from the community, aspiring professional singers and singers from several universities in the metro area.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
