Oklahoma City-based Paycom stayed open during the bad weather, processing paychecks for workers across the country.
Some companies can't shut down despite winter storms.
While thousands of businesses and schools closed after last week's heavy snow, Oklahoma City-based Paycom, an online payroll service firm, kept its doors open so staffers could process paychecks of more than 150,000 people across the country.

Paycom's disaster planning included door-to-door delivery of some employees by company executives.
Paycom's Chief Executive Officer Chad Richison, Chief Financial Officer Craig Boelte, Chief Operating Officer Shannon Rowe and Vice President of Operations Brad Richardson were each behind the wheel of four-wheel-drive vehicles providing employees transportation between hotels, office and some individual employee homes.
“During this storm we had two priorities,” Richardson said. “Our first priority is the safety our employees. The second is that all of our clients receive their paychecks on time. We understand that dealing with disasters is difficult enough, but finding out your paycheck didn't get processed makes a difficult situation unbearable.”
