MOORE — An Oklahoma City man was jailed Wednesday in connection with the death of a resident found in the front yard of a southeast Moore home.
Jeffry Jon Weaver, 18, of Oklahoma City was arrested on a first-degree murder complaint. The body of Gregory Lee Lutts, 40, of Moore was discovered about 2 a.m. at 3000 Pauline Renee St., Moore police Sgt. Todd Strickland said. Lutts had several puncture wounds and died in front of his home, Strickland said. Police have a weapon they believe was used to kill Lutts, but are not releasing information about what it is until the medical examiner determines Lutts' cause of death, Strickland said. Strickland said it appears that Weaver was visiting Lutts when the men got into an argument. A short time later, a neighbor called 911, saying a man was knocking on doors asking to use a telephone to call for a car ride. Weaver was booked into the Cleveland County jail, where he was being held Wednesday without bail. Contributing: Staff Writer Brian Sargent
