Three people died Friday and Saturday after crashes on Oklahoma roads, authorities reported.

Jared Clark, 39, Mounds

About 6:25 a.m. Saturday, Clark was driving north on U.S. 75 about two miles north of Ramona in Washington County. His vehicle struck a tractor-trailer as it pulled onto the highway from a parking lot to head south, troopers said.

Clark, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. A passenger, Jordan Smith, 28, of Tulsa, was taken by ambulance to St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, where he was admitted in critical condition, troopers said.

The driver of the tractor-trailer, Jeff Burney, 49, of Coffeeville, Miss., was not injured.

James Don Moore, 38, Claremore

About 4:30 p.m. Friday, Moore was riding a motorcycle east on State Highway 20 in Rogers County. The motorcycle struck a westbound pickup that was turning left onto Ridge Road, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers reported.

Moore, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene, troopers said.

The driver of the pickup, Steven Ellis, 47, of Owasso, was not injured.

Unidentified person

One person died after a multicar crash Friday afternoon in Norman, police reported.

The crash was reported about 4:40 p.m. Friday near 136th Avenue and S Sooner Road in Norman, Oklahoma City police said. One person died and two others were taken by ambulance to nearby hospitals.

The Oklahoma City Police Department’s fatal crash unit is investigating.
