Claremore student collapses, dies

CLAREMORE (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of 17-year-old girl at Claremore High School.

Shelbie King collapsed in a classroom about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Superintendent Mike McClaren says staff members began CPR on the girl until medics arrived and transported her to Claremore Regional Hospital, where she died.
Claremore Police Capt. Danny Dobbins says the medical examiner's office will determine the cause of death.
