No. 7 Tonkawa, behind 19 points from Logan Burgess, held on to beat No. 4 Thomas, 66-60, in a Class 2A girls quarterfinal game Thursday night at Westmoore High. Baylee Jacobs added 17 points for the Lady Bucs who advanced to Friday's semifinals.

Ali Clayborn scored 16 points for Thomas, which finished the season 21-4.

The game featured several lead changes and momentum shifts.

The Lady Terriers were in command early, leading 10-2. But Burgess got Tonkawa back in the game with a couple of 3-point shots, and the Lady Bucs outscored Thomas 19-9 to lead after one quarter. Thomas fought back to take a 43-42 lead after three quarters, but lost Clayborn to fouls with 3:55 left in the game.

Jacobs converted all six free throws she attempted in the game’s final minutes, and her 3-point play with 1:27 left gave Tonkowa a 61-55 lead it wouldn’t relinquish.
