Class 3A football: Line powering Kingfisher's run

The Yellowjackets have powered their way to a 13-0 record, and if they're to beat Seminole to reach the Class 3A state finals, it'll take another strong performance from the boys in the trenches.

Coach Jeff Myers has said it might be the best offensive line at Kingfisher during his time there, which is saying a lot.

And from the start of the season, the linemen accepted the challenge to be the best.

“We know if we can get a big push for Landon and Grant, they can do the rest of the work and get up field for big yardage,” Henderson said. “We had some injuries early, but everything has settled now.

“It's fun when we get marching down the field. It's like no other experience. It feels great, just paving the way.”

Added Cameron: “Every game, we've gotten better. We've gotten to where we need to be to put ourselves in position to win a championship.”
