BETHANY – Adair’s Kylie Looney scored 21 points as top-ranked Adair blasted Hugo, 45-28, in the first round of the Class 3A girls state tournament Thursday night at Southern Nazarene University.
“Kylie is a salty player,” Adair coach Scott Winfield said of his star guard, who leads the team in scoring averaging 18 points per game.
Hugo didn’t make a basket against the Warriors’ starters in the fourth period. The Buffaloes Ray’Shee Smith finally converted a steal and basket with 1:23 left in the game against the Adair reserves for Hugo’s first basket of the period.

Adair improved to 27-1 season. No. 8 Hugo ended its season at 21-6.
