Class 3A idol: Clinton's Delans Griffin is carrying on the tradition
Growing up in Clinton, football was the obvious choice of sport for Delans Griffin. Friday nights were spent at the Tornado Bowl, where Clinton was probably on its way to one of its 15 state championships. Now, Griffin is carrying on the tradition after rushing for 1,962 yards and 33 touchdowns as a junior. And next year, he’ll head to Lubbock , having committed to play for Texas Tech .
