Here is a shortlist of some of the top area wrestlers in 3A to watch this weekend:

*Jake Love, Tonkawa, 189: The Bucs star hasn't been beaten in two years. Undefeated state champion last year and 24-0 this season.

*Matt Manley, Perry, 112: Not a surprise to see nine wrestlers from the Maroons qualify. Manley might be the best of the bunch at 43-2.

*Steven Fernandez, Newcastle, 130: One of two top-seeded wrestlers for the Racers. Joining Fernandez is C.J. Stalsworth at 152.

*Cody Batts, Pauls Valley, 189: Also undefeated in the weight class that could lead to a finals matchup against Love. One of two Panthers in the tournament as Jared Williams qualified at 140.

*Walter Lynn, Little Axe, 285: The practice partner of Dustin Hawkins, Lynn has emerged as a top-tier grappler himself. He enters the weekend at 33-6.
