“I think we'll play well, but I really don't know that anybody's got anything for Heritage Hall,” Powell said. “We played about as well as we could play in the second round today, and still got beat.”

Heritage Hall leads Ada and Elk City by eight strokes after Monday's first and second rounds at Lake Hefner North.

And the Chargers' success starts at the top. Senior Trent Mewbourn is at 10-under par and leads his closest competition, Cascia Hall's Gabe Rogers, by five strokes.

“I'm feeling pretty confident, as long as I keep hitting the ball straight I'll be fine.”

Ada junior Wyatt Robson is six strokes back and in third place, and Weatherford's Quade Cummings and Clinton's Garrison Mendoza are seven back.

Heritage Hall coach Andy Bogert wasn't terribly pleased with his team's overall output Monday morning, but challenged them between rounds.
