YUKON — Behind hot 3-point shooting early and consistent foul shooting late, Mannford cruised past Anadarko 49-41.
Mannford sprinted to an early lead thanks to sophomore guard Noah Garner, who connected on three shots from behind the arc in the first half. Mannford went on an 11-0 run to open the second quarter to get up by as much as 15, before finishing the half up 24-15.
Anadarko trimmed the deficit in the second half behind senior center A’Ram Johnson, who finished with a game-high 19 points.
But when Garner hit another 3-pointer, his fourth of the game, with less than two minutes to play, Anadarko was forced to foul — and Mannford didn’t miss. Junior forward Derek Hilton, who finished with a team-high 18 points, hit four straight foul shots to put it away.
