The first matches of this year's girls state tennis tournament were set to begin at 8 a.m. Friday.
But rain and lightning forced a nearly three-hour weather delay, causing Class 4A's quarterfinal and consolation bracket matches to continue late into the evening.
The last match didn't end until 10:30 p.m.
