Here are a few metro-area swimmers to watch this weekend:
Jesse Hildebrand, Newcastle: A senior, Hildebrand was the only girl to break the one-minute mark in the 100 butterfly at 5A regionals, and is the favorite in the 500 freestyle as well.
Avery Niemann, Heritage Hall: The junior had the best 5A regional times in both the 100 and 200 freestyle.
Ally Robertson, Edmond North: The defending All-City Swimmer of the Year, Robertson is back at it again as a junior in the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley.
Madie Sarantakos, Norman North: On a team loaded with talent, Sarantakos is one of the best, favored to win the 100 butterfly and the 200 freestyle.
Riley Bunyard, Harrah: Watch out for him in the 200 and 500 freestyle, where he's favored to win.
Conner St. John, Piedmont: Posted blistering times to win the 100 breaststroke and 200 individual medley at 5A regionals.
Justin Wu, Norman North: Like the girls team, it's tough to pick just one swimmer to watch from Norman North, but Wu has already reached All-America status in his junior season.
Jonathan Ye, Edmond Memorial: The sophomore should be in the hunt in both the 100 and 200 freestyle, which should be thrilling races to watch.
