Class 5A boys: El Reno knocks out Deer Creek with last-second shot Published: March 13, 2014

TULSA -- Bryon Elledge had been quiet all game, but he came alive in the fourth quarter when sixth-ranked El Reno needed him most.

Elledge hit a running jumper with 0.8 seconds left to give El Reno a 43-41 victory over seventh-ranked Edmond Deer Creek in the first round of the Class 5A boys state tournament on Thursday afternoon inside the Mabee Center. Elledge finished with 10 points, including eight in the final period.

Edmond Deer Creek (17-10) led by six points early in the fourth quarter before Elledge and the Indian defense turned up the pressure, forcing four straight Antlers turnovers that produced an 8-0 El Reno run.
