Yukon got five runs in the first inning off Oklahoma State signee Thomas Hatch and then hung on to advance to the semifinals, beating Jenks 5-4.

“We caught a break there in the first and took advantage,” Yukon coach Kevin James said.

The Millers had runners in scoring position three more times with less than two outs but couldn't score.

Jenks had a chance to tie the game in the sixth, finally getting to starter Mason McAlister. But junior Logan Wigley came on to get a double play ground ball to end the threat after the Trojans had scored twice in the inning.

Gustavo Escobar got Jenks out in order in the seventh to end the game.

Escobar delivered the big hit of the first, a two-run single. All five Yukon runs came with two outs.

Jenks scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the inning before McAlister settled in until the sixth.

Top-ranked Owasso scored in every inning to advance to the semifinals and stay undefeated.

The Rams broke the game open with two runs in the second and three in the third. All runs in both innings were unearned.

Owasso (34-0) scored five more in the fourth, then held Santa Fe scoreless in the fifth to clinch the run-rule win.

Teigen Tieperman held Santa Fe to four hits in five innings.
