Class 6A girls basketball: Edmond Santa Fe runs past Broken Arrow

Edmond Santa Fe (24-1) will play Tulsa Washington at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Oral Roberts' Mabee Center in one semifinal. Bixby and Tulsa Union will meet in the other semifinal.

Broken Arrow finishes its season 16-11.

“The first one is always the toughest to get through,” Edmond Santa Fe coach Paul Bass said. “After this, hopefully we can settle down and play our game.”

Tamara Lee carried the Wolves against Broken Arrow, dominating from the outset.

The junior guard scored 18 of her 29 points in the first half as the Wolves rolled over a Broken Arrow team making its first state tournament appearance since 2002.

“That was probably the best game she's played all year,” Bass said.

Senior Cameerah Graves and sophomore Alexis Cooper added 12 each for Santa Fe.

Toree Thompson led Broken Arrow with 22. Freshman Alexis Goulden hit four 3-pointers to score 13 for the Lady Tigers.

After an unsteady start, Santa Fe took over to win its 23rd consecutive game. The Wolves haven't lost since falling to Putnam City in the season's second game.
