Huskies, Trojans tie for title
Edmond North and Jenks were neck-and-neck all season for who was the best Class 6A girls tennis team.

And after two months of tournaments, duals and a state tournament, nothing will be settled as the Huskies and the Trojans tied for first.

"It’s always about how you perform at state, and we knew it was going to be a tough battle,” North senior Rachel Mitcham said. Mitcham placed second at No. 1 singles.

The Huskies earned two championships while Jenks earned one and three runner-up finishes.

The Edmond North duo of Natalie Price and Reagan Reed earned their second straight championship. The girls lost to Edmond Memorial at regionals but beat the Bulldogs in the semifinals and cruised against Jenks.

Pepper claims No. 2 singles title
With her nerves out of the way, Edmond North freshman Ann Pepper played up to her potential at No.
