Class A and B state tournament qualifers: Saturday, Feb. 23
Class A boys
No. 1 Weleetka (25-2): Virtually everyone back from last year's semifinal squad.
No. 2 Glencoe (28-1): The Panthers rebounded from their first loss of the season to seal a tourney bid.
No. 3 Sterling (27-2): The third-ranked Tigers are making their second consecutive trip to state.
No. 4 Cheyenne-Reydon (23-6): The defending champs return to the State Fair Arena with a young, defensive-oriented team under coach Brad Thrash.
No. 5 Velma-Alma (24-3): Reached state last year with one of Class A's best players, Corbin Byford, but this year's squad is more balanced.
No. 6 Wright City (22-8): The LumberJax are back at state with an experience group of seniors leading the way.
No. 7 Fort Cobb-Broxton (21-8): After a one-year absence, the 2011 state champs are back at the Big House.
Class B boys
No. 2 Arnett (20-8): Arguably played Class B's toughest schedule with five losses to teams in Class 2A and above.
No. 3 Red Oak (25-3): Back at state for the fifth time in six years, having won it all in 2009.
No. 4 Fargo (23-8): After closing the regular season with a tough stretch, the Bearcats have hit their stride in the playoffs.
No. 5 Coyle (23-4): Back at state for the first time since 2008, Coyle is looking for its fourth title.
No. 6 Big Pasture (27-1): Won its 26th straight game to earn the team's first state tournament berth since 2009.
No. 9 Moyers (27-3): Coach Shane Winter's squad is making the school's first state tournament appearance in on the boys side.
Class A Girls
No. 2 Frontier (23-6): A tough schedule has hardened a young team and helped the Mustangs into the field for the fifth consecutive season.
