— It was a two-person wrecking crew for Hammon as Kori Barrios and Peyton Walker combined for 32 of the Warriors' 34 points in a 34-30 victory over Deer Creek-Lamont in the Class B quarterfinals Thursday night at Carl Albert High School.

“They were really big,” Hammon coach Lance Carpenter said. “We some adjustments going into the fourth quarter and they stepped up and got some crucial, crucial buckets.”

The win forces a rematch of last season's championship game when Hammon and Lomega meet at 6 p.m. Friday in State Fair Arena.

Barrios, wearing a mask for a broken nose she suffered in area last week, made two straight baskets near the 5-minute mark in the fourth to put Hammon on top for good.

She finished with 14 points, 10 of which came in the second half. Walker finished with 18.

Now, Hammon (26-4) gets a rematch it desperately wants after losing to Lomega in the championship game last season.

“This is going to be a tough rematch,” Carpenter said. “We're going to have to hook up.”

Deer Creek-Lamont's Katy Starr scored 15 points and Jessica Blanton added 12, respectively. The Eagles finish the season 21-8.
