“That's what you've got to do,” Erick coach Justin Janz said. “If you're going to win it all, you're going to have to hit some big shots.”

Maranda Janz finished with 18 points, despite missing nearly all of the fourth quarter after fouling out. Kelsey Brinkley scored 11 and May added 10.

Galindo led all scorers with 23 points and 19 rebounds. But the entire game changed in overtime for the Indians when she fouled out with 2:13 remaining.

“We could press them,” Justin Janz said. “I would have pressed them from the start if (Galindo) would have been out there. She's a heck of a player and if she ever gets loose it's two points. So we can't hardly press them with her out there because she'll go right through you.”
