Clay Bennett's transition to NBA owner was remarkably smooth, mainly because he's been able to mind his own business.

Rather than micromanaging, Bennett handles his own matters and allows others within the organization to handle theirs.
There have been no long-winded speeches from Bennett, who only discusses topics he knows.
Much like a football coach, Bennett oversees the product, but leaves specific responsibilities to his assistants.
Bennett will not publicly discuss player personnel decisions or contracts until after the fact, and even then defers to those who made specific decisions.
Bennett won't answer a question when he doesn't know the answer. Not all owners are like that.
Bennett's approach is slowly beginning to win over the public and local media.
"My approach has always seen trying to surround myself with people who are a heck of a lot smarter than I am, and can add value to a process," Bennett said. "I try to find the best, most creative talent and then attempt to bring what I hope is a skill of being able to integrate all this to a successful conclusion. And that's the caliber of talent I think is emerging in this ownership process."
