Clemency bid brings 30-day execution stay
Governor will review sentence given in 1996 slaying at a steak house.

A man sentenced to death for a deadly 1996 robbery was granted a 30-day stay of execution so the governor can hear arguments for and against his death sentence.

Gov. Brad Henry on Tuesday granted a stay of execution for Kevin Young , 43. Young had been scheduled to die by lethal injection July 22. A new execution date has been set for Aug. 21.
