Cleveland County residents walk to stop hunger in annual CROP Walk
The annual Cleveland County CROP Walk to Stop Hunger drew more than 500 participants in Norman.
NORMAN — More than 500 people turned out for Cleveland County's annual CROP Walk to Stop Hunger, organizers said.

The three-mile trek on Sunday included teams from faith groups, businesses and organizations, as well as families and individuals.
This year's walk was dedicated to the memory of Michael McNeill, a client of Food and Shelter Inc., which co-sponsored the walk with faith organizations. McNeill, 38, died Sept. 1 when he was struck by a train at the Boyd Street crossing.
The walk was free, but participants could donate money or cans of tuna or peanut butter, with proceeds going to Food and Shelter and to support worldwide hunger relief efforts of the Church World Service.
One in four children in the United States faces hunger every day, according to organizers of the walk.
