The clinic, part of the city’s health and wellness program, had been on the discussion table for two years.
City Manager Larry Stevens said he anticipated the clinic will open in February or March.
Care ATC is a Tulsa-based company that operates 57 clinics in 11 states.
The clinic will be in the lower level of the Downtown Community Center, where the Department of Public Safety Motor Vehicle License Exam Office is now located. Public Safety officials have requested additional space and will be moving to a different place in the building.
The clinic will include a lobby area and two examination rooms. Staff will include a doctor and two medical assistants. It will operate 25 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
Employee participation is voluntary. Employees who participate will be charged $22 a month, which covers all office visits.
