Cobbs gave a verbal commitment to Tennessee in September, but reportedly informed both schools of his intentions to go to Texas on Thursday.

"I talked to Tennessee tonight. It wasn’t easy at all, but I had to be a man. I committed to them and I didn’t want Tennessee to hear about it from anybody else. I wanted them to hear about it from me,” Cobbs told Rivals.com’s Texas Web site, Orangebloods.com.

Cobbs said Texas was his "dream school” from the start and that he is "pretty solid with that commitment. I don’t plan on changing my mind.”

Cobbs plays quarterback for Tulsa Central but is expected to play receiver in college.
