Cold front headed to Oklahoma Wednesday

The wind chill factor on Thursday in Oklahoma will be below zero. Temperatures will drop in central Oklahoma Wednesday night.

Arctic air is blowing into Oklahoma Wednesday night, the National Weather Service reports.

Wednesday the high temperature in central Oklahoma will be near 49 degrees, but Thursday the high will only be near 24 degrees. A gusty north wind will drop temperatures Wednesday night. The wind chill Thursday will be below zero.

The Oklahoma City forecast is as follows:

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 49. North, northeast wind 7 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 16. North, northeast wind 14 to 23 mph with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Thursday: Partly sunny with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as minus 6. North wind 13 to 22 mph with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 13. North wind 6 to 11 mph becoming light and variable.

Friday: Sunny with a high near 42. South, southwest wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 18 to 23 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 32 mph.

Friday night: Mostly clear with a low around 32.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 59.

Saturday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 35.

Sunday: Sunny with a high near 62.

Sunday night: Mostly clear with a low around 26.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 34.

Monday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 20.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with a high near 46.
