Cold this morning? Just think back a year.

by Bryan Painter Published: October 16, 2013

While it may feel cold out – or at least cool – this morning to some in Oklahoma City,  just think back for a minute to last October.

Today is Oct. 16 but last year on Oct. 8, the temperature was 31 degrees at 5:52 a.m. at Will Rogers World Airport, the earliest official autumn freeze. Temperature records for Oklahoma City date to 1891.

The low so far today for Oklahoma City, as recorded at Will Rogers World Airport, is 46 degrees at 7:56 a.m., according to the National Weather Service, Norman Forecast Office.
