In high school, Mike Bellotti played football, baseball and basketball, hoping he’d have a playing career in one of them. But as a senior tight end for the University of California-Davis , he began to realize his playing career was coming to a close and decided coaching might be the direction for his life. Thirty-four years later, he leads Oregon , having built it into a perennial Pac-10 Conference power.
