Bob Carpenter has broadcast Major League Baseball games for nearly three decades with ESPN, the St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Nationals. Carpenter, who lives in Tulsa, has a contract with the Nationals for 2011 with an option for 2012. His name often is thrown out as a possible replacement for Bob Barry Sr., who is retiring as Oklahoma’s radio play-by-play voice after this season.
