College athlete ends career to donate bone marrow to leukemia patient

Last month, Cameron Lyle had a decision to make.

Lyle, a senior at the University of New Hampshire, could finish his season of track or he could give the season up to save someone’s life, The Eagle-Tribune reports.



It was a no-brainer.

He will be donating his bone marrow to an anonymous recipient who was given six months to live. Lyle told The Eagle-Tribune he hopes to be able to buy the man a couple more years.
