College football: Clemson at Georgia tops this week's slate of national games

The top 10 games this weekend, excluding the Big 12:

1. Clemson at Georgia, 4:30 p.m., ESPN: The winner solidifies status as a national semifinal contender.

2. Wisconsin vs. LSU in Houston, 8 p.m., ESPN: The Big Ten sure could use an upset.

3. Miami at Louisville, 7 p.m. Monday, ESPN: The ‘Ville makes its ACC debut.

4. Arkansas at Auburn, 3 p.m., SEC Network: Razorbacks have lost 12 straight SEC games, including 0-8 last season. But Auburn went 0-8 in the SEC in 2012.

5. Penn State vs. Central Florida in Dublin, 7:30 a.m., ESPN2: Televised football at sunup. Who can knock that?

6. Ohio State vs. Navy in Baltimore, 11 a.m., CBS Sports Network: Midshipmen are dangerous even when you’ve got your quarterback.

7. Fresno State at Southern Cal, 6:30 p.m., FOX: Tumultuous week for the Trojans.

8. California at Northwestern, 2:30 p.m., ESPN: The Big Ten and Pac-12 have a mutual admiration society.

9. Utah State at Tennessee, 6 p.m. Sunday, SEC Network: The Volunteers might not have the better team here.

10. Southern Miss at Mississippi State, 6:30 p.m., SEC Network: Not a good game, but notable. First meeting since 1990.
