Linebacker Cobb leaves Texas Tech

Linebacker Daniel Cobb, who was Texas Tech’s third-leading tackler last season, has been dismissed from the team, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported on Sunday.

Cobb was kicked off a violation of team rules, Tech spokesman Blayne Beal said, according to the newspaper.
