College softball: Texas A&M edges Hofstra in other Norman Regional game

Texas A&M will play Oklahoma at 1 p.m. Saturday in the NCAA Norman Softball Regional. The Aggies advanced to the winners’ bracket game with a 7-6 victory Friday over Hofstra at Marita Hynes Stadium.

NORMAN — Texas A&M will play Oklahoma at 1 p.m. Saturday in the NCAA Norman Softball Regional. The Aggies advanced to the winners’ bracket game with a 7-6 victory Friday over Hofstra at Marita Hynes Stadium.

Emily Albus and Cassie Tysarczyk had three hits and one RBI apiece for Texas A&M, which improved to 36-20.

The teams exchanged leads five times.

Nicole Morgan’s run-scoring double in the sixth inning was the difference in the game.

Hofstra fell to 33-14.
