ATLANTA, Ga. — ComicsPRO board president Thomas Gaul kicked off the 2014 membership meeting with details about the organization and the meeting.  ComicsPRO is the largest organization of direct market comic-book stores.   This is the eighth annual membership meeting of the organization.

The meeting has the highest attendance of any ComicsPRO meeting, Gaul announced, and more non-member retailers in attendance than ever before.

The meeting also increased the number of sponsors.  Gaul said sponsorship for the meeting sold completely out for 2014.

Gaul said transferring the membership forum to Facebook has increased participation by 500 percent.

“We’re able to communicate better and more often than we were before,” Gaul said.

Wednesday night featured an opening reception sponsored by Valiant Entertainment, with informal meet-and-greets and sharing of information.
