Tech center is weather ambassador

Moore Norman Technology Center has been accepted as a partner and ambassador through the Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador program.

This program is the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s effort to formally recognize NOAA partners across the United States as organizations that seek to improve the nation’s readiness, responsiveness and overall resilience against extreme weather, water and climate events.

To be officially recognized, an organization must commit to promoting Weather-Ready Nation messages, engage with NOAA personnel on potential collaboration opportunities, share success stories of preparedness and resiliency, and serve as an example by educating employees on workplace preparedness.

Roadwork will close rail crossing

The railroad crossing on Danforth Road, just west of Broadway and east of Thomas Drive, will be closed for repairs starting Tuesday.
