Company has no plans for layoffs

in Woodward

Despite reports of layoffs received by the Oklahoma Commerce Department, Houston-based oil field services company Key Energy Services has no plans to lay of members of its workforce in Woodward. The Commerce Department received incorrect information that the company was in the process of laying off workers this week, said Don Hackler, deputy director for the Commerce Department. West Gotcher, a spokesman for Key said the company has no plans to conduct layoffs in Woodward. “Key Energy Services has been encouraged by the demand we’ve seen for services in the region, and we are actively growing our business, including hiring talented workers and pursuing additional opportunities in Woodward,” the company said in a statement.
