Senior left tackle Trent Williams suffered a concussion during a one-on-one drill in practice Tuesday and watched the Sooners' 27-0 win over Oklahoma State from the sidelines in a red track suit.

Sophomore defensive end Frank Alexander and Williams met for a big collision during a drill, but he continued to practice briefly before realizing he had been injured.

"Trent is an easy-going, humorous guy, but all week long it was like looking at a zombie," said senior offensive line Brian Simmons.

Williams practiced all week, but was ruled out of Saturday's game shortly before pregame warmups.

Cory Brandon started for Williams at left tackle.

"He wished he could be out there, but he encouraged me a lot, and helped Cory Brandon out a lot with some looks," Simmons said.
