Confiscated El Reno cats see progress finding homes

EL RENO — About half the 80 cats removed from a reportedly filthy home have been adopted or turned over to rescue agencies.

Pets placed in the El Reno animal shelter are usually held for three days and then euthanized, but that deadline has been extended because of the volume of animals, Deputy Chief Kevin Wilkerson said.
