The Oklahoman's Diana Baldwin chatted with readers Thursday about downtown Edmond roads, restaurants and businesses. Join her chat every third Thursday of the month at 2 p.m. Below is an unedited transcript of the chat.

NewsOK 1:14 p.m. Hey everyone. Diana Baldwin will be logging in at 2 p.m., but you can start submitting your questions now.
Diana Baldwin 1:56 p.m. Keep your questions coming. We will be starting soon.
Stephanie 2:05 p.m. What's happening on Broadway?
Diana Baldwin 2:07 p.m. There are two projects under way on Broadway and traffic is crazy at time that road. Near Eighth and Broadway there is a waterline project that should be done in three or four weeks, depending on the weather. It cost $500,000. The other is at 33rd and Broadway where there is a waterline relocation project. It should be done in about three weeks. This is the first step to add turns at that intersection, the busiest one in Edmond.
Eliza DoLittle 2:07 p.m. Hi Diana! I love your articles. Do you know of any new restaurants in Edmond? My husband and I love going out to eat.
Diana Baldwin 2:08 p.m. The newest restaurant is Pepperoni Grill. The planning commission approved the site plan this week. It will be on the south side of Covell Road and west of Walgreens Pharmacy at Kelly Avenue and Covell Road.
Jim 2:08 p.m. Is anything currently planned for the area by Sams?
Diana Baldwin 2:11 p.m. Developer Jim Tapp's project was before the planning commission this week. He wants to build four commercial lots near Sams on 15.94 acres. I tried to find out what was going in the other night, but I wasn't successful. I'll check again.
Jennifer 2:11 p.m. Do you know what roads will be closed to normal traffic during the Senior Open at Oak Tree? I can see how much they are building on that course to prepare. They are obviously expecting a ton of people.
Diana Baldwin 2:12 p.m. I haven't got a list of the roads that will be closed. I am planning on a number of stories about the tournament in the next few weeks.
newbie to Edmond 2:13 p.m. how is the proposed greenway from Lake Arcadia going to connect with Hafer Park Greenway with Chimney Hill not allowing the trail through their neighborhood?
Diana Baldwin 2:14 p.m. I am not sure they have all that worked. They have been trying for some time to work with the homeowners in Chimney Hill. They have not been agreeable. I know the city would like for the two trails to connect.
Jessica 2:16 p.m. When does Liberty Fest start?
Diana Baldwin 2:18 p.m. LibertyFest this years has 11 events starting with a concert in front of the Mitchell Hall Theater on the University of Central Oklahoma at 7:30 p.m. June 26. The events continue through the Fourth of July with fireworks and parade.
Diana Baldwin 2:19 p.m. Keep submitting your questions. Edmond live chat continues.
Chris 2:19 p.m. What other restaurants are confirmed for the Covell/Kelly intersection?
Diana Baldwin 2:20 p.m. Pepperoni Grill is the only one I know of so far. I check frequently. If I hear of any more, I'll let you know.
Jessica 2:21 p.m. Any family events other than LibertyFest coming up?
Diana Baldwin 2:23 p.m. Each Thursday night from 6:15 to 8:45 p.m. Thursday the Edmond Parks and Recreation Department offers of free concerts at Hafer Park. Tonight is Shades of Neon and The Ash Brothers.
Dan 2:24 p.m. Any construction we should be worried about right now?
Diana Baldwin 2:26 p.m. Downtown is the biggest mess where they are building the new public safety center. Makes doing city business difficulty.
Guest 2:26 p.m. When is construction going to start on the Hilton on Covell?
Diana Baldwin 2:27 p.m. I heard the city and the owner are finishing up the paperwork to change the location of the hotel and conference center.
guest 2:30 p.m. Do you know how capacity at the Edmond hotels is looking during the upcoming Senior Open? Are many visitors having to spend their tax dollars in OKC if we're full?
Diana Baldwin 2:30 p.m. Edmond only has 710 hotel and motel rooms. I really doubt that is enough for everyone involved in the tournament. It is possible they will look to Oklahoma City for lodging. It would be great if the new hotel and conference center was completed.
B.L. 2:30 p.m. Is that location going to be for sale if Hilton is not building there?
Diana Baldwin 2:31 p.m. All the land out there is for sale.
Diana Baldwin 2:31 p.m. Thanks for joining me. We will do it again next month.
