Today marks the start of National Sunshine Week, a time to focus on government transparency at the federal, state and local levels. It’s held to coincide with the birthday of President James Madison who said, "A popular government without popular information or the means of acquiring it is but a prologue to a farce, or a tragedy, or perhaps both.”
