Former Oklahoma men's basketball coach Kelvin Sampson is back in the college game with Houston, a decision that was heavily influenced by a conversation Sampson had with his dying father.
Yahoo Sports' Pat Forde writers that before Ned Sampson's death on Feb. 18, father and son had a discussion, with Ned making some points that convinced Kelvin to get back into college coaching.
"He said some profound things to me that made me think about it," Kelvin told Yahoo Sports. "Call it whatever you want – God's will or karma. But it had an impact."
