Convicted Oklahoma City murderer gets probation for car damage

He was charged with first-degree murder because an accomplice, Antwun Parker, 16, was fatally shot during the robbery. Ingram spent three years in custody after pleading guilty to the murder.

Ingram was freed last May but was jailed again in September after kicking out the windows of his mother's car. He was released from the Oklahoma County jail Jan. 23, records show.

He was charged Tuesday with a misdemeanor, malicious injury and destruction of property. His attorney said Ingram pleaded guilty and will be on probation for five years.

Ingram now lives in Texas. “He's doing fine,” defense attorney Michael Johnson said.

The former pharmacist who shot the second robber is serving a life sentence. Jerome Ersland, 61, was convicted at a trial in 2011 of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors alleged Ersland was in the wrong to shoot the unarmed, second robber five more times after knocking him unconscious with a shot to the head. Ersland is appealing his conviction.

Ingram was arrested a week after the robbery attempt. Prosecutors made a deal with him that resulted in his release last year.

Prosecutors made the deal in exchange for his testimony against the two men who recruited him to rob the drugstore for them. Both men were convicted at their trial of first-degree murder.
