Cooler temperatures are ahead in Oklahoma with rain chances

Wednesday will be near 92 degrees in Oklahoma City with high winds. Cooler weather is ahead.

A cold front is on the way to Oklahoma Wednesday, the National Weather Service reports.

Cooler temperatures will last through the weekend with the possibility of rain Thursday.

Wednesday in central Oklahoma the high temperature will be near 92 degrees with wind gusts up to 32 mph. Thursday the high temperature will be near 76 degrees with thunderstorms possible.

The forecast for Oklahoma City is as follows:

Wednesday: Sunny with a high near 92. South wind 14 to 23 mph with gusts as high as 32 mph.

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a low around 65. South, southeast wind 13 to 18 mph becoming south southeast 7 to 12 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy with a high near 76. North wind 11 to 14 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Thursday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely. Cloudy with a low around 56. North wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
